Keeping Kids Safe - Don't Let Them Smoke
As a parent in today's society and any society before this it is a parents responsibility when it comes to keeping kids safe. Keeping them safe also means doing everything possible to keep your kids from lighting up that first smoke. If they do get through that first smoke then you need to do whatever yo ucan as a parent to discourage them from continuing this filthy and deadly habit.
As parents we have to do what ever it takes. Even if it means scaring the heck out of them then that is what needs to be done. I am hoping that through education and the best up bringing possible that will be enough in most cases to keep your kids from smoking.
There are many factors when it comes to keeping kids safe and all others can be left to the other experts. In my case I want to do everything to educate kids into never smoking. I want to teach kids what a black lung looks like. I want children to see what cancer does to the person suffering and the people around them.
Why do we even care about worrying about social studies in school but yet we do very little to educate our children when it comes to smoking. I guess for the most part all the responsibility needs to lie in our laps. As a parent it is our responsibility to fight against our kids smoking.
The tobacco companies would never admit to anything but anyone with common sense knows and realizes that tobacco companies very heavily rely on new smokers starting up to maintain billions of dollars in profits. Of course we cant win single handily against the tobacco companies but as a team and each and every one of us focus on taking care of the people around us then we can actually win this war.
We have to understand the importance of keeping kids safe in all circumstances. We do everything in our power and we would die for our kids but then we see kids on a daily basis with cigarettes hanging out of their mouths. Why do we not take smoking as seriously as the stalker on the internet trying to date your 15 year old daughter.
Bottom line is smoking kills and if you dont already know this you have been buried at the bottom of an ocean for a very long time. There are no more excuses life is about keeping kids safe.
Dale became a non smoker and in turn became an educator. His mission now is to try and get as many people as possible to quit. His bigger focus is to educate as many children as possible to get them to never start smoking.
